Upstate Homeowners Don't Have to Suffer from Bed Bug Infestations
First thing’s first, let's bust a myth. Bed bugs inhabit a house or room only if it's dirty: FALSE! Every homeowner is at risk and has a possibility for bed bugs to invade their home. Bed bugs are nocturnal creatures, and they’re especially hard to see and catch. These tiny creatures love to travel, and love to hide. If you suspect you have bed bugs, you should first inspect your bed, and any furniture. If bringing second-hand furniture, mattresses, or any living space items into your home, make sure to thoroughly inspect them or have a pest professional inspect them for you.

These small insects usually come out at night to do what they do best: feed off of blood. They take about 5-10 minutes to feed on whatever warm-blooded animal they choose (most preferred being human), and then hide for 5-10 days. During their 5-10 days of hiding, they digest their food, mate, and lay more eggs. This is why if gone unnoticed, bed bugs reproduce rapidly without any notice.
Below is a list of steps you can take to work at preventing bed bugs:
