Interior French Drain - Your Solution
A French Drain is a trench filled with gravel or rock containing a perforated pipe that redirects surface and groundwater away from a specific area. This drain will intercept water as it enters your basement. Any professional performing the job will begin by digging out a channel around the perimeter of your crawl space floor, install perforated pipe all the way around, and cover with gravel. The water will flow to a tank, called a sump pump, that is sunk into the floor at the low point of the crawl space, that reroutes the water out into the yard or a storm drain.
